How it works
From the official source to your screen, in four steps.
Step 1
Official sources
Notices are built from official Department of Employment and Labour sources.
Step 2
Reviewed by our team
A person reviews every update before it is approved. Nothing reaches a screen without that review.
Step 3
Signed
Each approved release is digitally signed by our team.
Step 4
Delivered to your screens
Your screens check in regularly and pick up approved updates while your subscription is active. The date a notice was last verified is shown on screen.
[LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED] LabourKiosk supports your notice-display obligations by showing official notices and keeping them up to date from official sources. You remain responsible for knowing which notices apply to your workplace and for checking with your labour adviser when you are unsure.
If a screen goes offline
A screen keeps a copy of its notices. If it loses its internet connection it keeps showing the last approved version it received, and picks up updates again when the connection returns.
Pairing a screen
- Open the LabourKiosk app on the screen. It shows a short pairing code.
- Sign in to your portal and choose Pair a new screen.
- Type the code, name the screen and choose Pair screen.
- Look at the screen. Within a few minutes it shows your notices.
Reliability, plainly
We describe how the product is built, not a promise about availability. These are the mechanisms:
- Offline cache: a screen keeps its notices and carries on showing them without a connection.
- Last approved version kept: if a screen cannot reach us, it keeps showing the last approved version it received.
- Restart after power cuts: the Kiosk box starts LabourKiosk again by itself when the power returns.
On a screen you own, reliability depends on that device and its settings: sleep, screen saver, start-up and network. Our Help pages list the settings to check.
